Why convert Word documents to PDF?
A Word document can look different on every computer. Fonts may be missing, page breaks move and tables shift between Word versions, Google Docs and phone apps. A PDF fixes the layout, so your CV, invoice, letter or report looks exactly the same for everyone who opens it, and it can’t be edited by accident.
- Job applications: most recruiters and portals prefer a CV or cover letter in PDF.
- Official forms and submissions: universities, banks and government portals often accept only PDF uploads.
- Invoices and quotations: send documents that your customer can open on any device.
- Printing: print shops work from PDF so the pages print exactly as designed.

Tips for a perfect PDF
- Use common fonts (Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, Noto). Unusual fonts may be replaced by a similar one.
- If your document uses a special font, export it to PDF from Word itself with “Embed fonts” turned on, or switch to a standard font.
- Password-protected Word files can’t be converted; remove the password in Word first.
- Need a smaller file? Run the PDF through Compress PDF. To combine several PDFs into one, use Merge PDF.
How your files are handled
Most of our tools run entirely in your browser. Converting Word files accurately needs a full office engine, so this tool converts on the server instead. Your file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection, converted automatically without anyone looking at it, and deleted together with the PDF as soon as the result is sent back to you. Nothing is stored or shared.
